Calvin, and his wife, Christie Lyerla, are Pastors of Acts 2 Worship Center  (an Assembly of God church)  here in the Western Communities of Palm Beach County, Florida.  They are graduates of Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida.  Pastor Lyerla is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God since 1989. They moved to Palm Beach County in the same year following the call of God upon their lives. While in South Florida they quickly began to exercise their calling, as youth and associate pastors, teachers, choir and music directors, at a local church.  While serving in this capacity, the Lord planted a vision in their hearts to establish a New Testament church from the pattern given in Acts chapter 2. In February of 1991 Acts 2 Worship Center was begun.  Today it is a flourishing body of Christ-followers, playing an active role in community transformation. In addition to their many gifts, Pastor Calvin and his wife are anointed musicians and worship leaders unto the Lord’s glory. They have four children – Brandon, Ashlen, Caitlen and Aaron.
